We are currently looking for an HR Manager to join us in Wigton, working 16 - 20 hours per week.

The Role

As the HR Manager, you will deliver a comprehensive HR service to our site in Wigton.

Working collaboratively with the Head of HR and wider HR team, you\'ll partner with the site leadership team to provide best practice HR expertise and ensure the successful delivery of the annual people plan.

Specifically, you will:

- Provide up-to-date guidance, support and advice to the site leadership team and line managers
- Support the site with employee engagement initiatives and look for ways to improve relations across the business
- Support working groups to aid in the development of appropriate culture change initiatives
- Work with line managers to create appropriate development plans and maintain the site skills matrix
- Deliver people management training to line managers
- Review policies and procedures, ensuring best practice across the site
- Identify ways to enhance existing HR systems and processes

About You

To join us as our HR Manager, you will need:

- Previous experience of delivering a highly effective generalist service in an HR management capacity
- Experience in a similar level of role, gained in a fast-paced, commercially focused, unionised environment
- Employment law knowledge and experience of applying updated legislation to a variety of HR situations
- A deep understanding of HR principles and best practice in the areas of employee relations, performance management, organisational development, recruitment and learning and development
- A proven track record of building effective relationships
- The ability to coach and influence senior colleagues
- To be working towards, or ideally have, a CIPD qualification
- Strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills

Experience within the FMCG, food and/or dairy sector would be beneficial, as would experience with IFS Apps 10.

Other organisations may call this role Human Resources Manager, Regional HR Manager or Site HR Manager.

This is a part-time role, working 16 - 20 hours per week. We are flexible regarding the days/hours worked.
