Part Time Senior PR Marketing Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time (4 days per week) Senior PR Marketing Coordinator to join our Marketing team at Osprey Europe in Poole, Dorset. This is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave until March 2022.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to cover the roles and responsibilities of our Senior PR Marketing Coordinator during maternity leave, being: -

  • Implementing and developing world class PR for brand, product and seasonal campaigns
  • Proactively managing internal and external company communications

The main responsibilities are: -

  • Coordinating and supporting marketing activity throughout Europe
  • Developing media assets and press releases
  • Managing UK and European consumer, trade and brand media relations
  • Assisting with planning and managing PR events and campaigns
  • Working with internal marketing team & external PR Agencies
  • Executing and analysing results/return-on-investment PR campaigns
  • Recording coverage and reporting on results
  • Coordinating product and sample requests
  • Planning marketing expenditure for PR activity
  • Event management and attending events, trade shows, sales & product meetings
  • Management of trademark use

To be successful in your application, you should meet the following criteria: -

  • Minimum of 2 years' PR experience (in-house or agency)
  • Proven track record of previous PR success with experience of creating press material, event and project management, consumer and trade media relations
  • Excellent copy writing capability
  • Experience of managing marketing budgets
  • Experience of working in a busy environment
  • Strong Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

It is not essential but it would be desirable if you meeting Desirable criteria: -

  • Experience in the outdoor/travel/lifestyle industry
  • International PR experience
  • Experience of delivering creative campaigns and projects at strategic level
  • Digital PR experience
  • Experience of PR tools including Cision
  • Interest in outdoor activities

We are looking for someone who has strong verbal, written and presentation skills, a high level of attention to detail and is able to work on their own initiative. You must be able to manage multiple projects, be an excellent team player and have a pro-active, forward thinking and flexible attitude to work.

An ability and willingness to travel within the UK and outside the UK and holding a valid passport is essential.
