ICT Trainer role is offered on a Permanent basis, working 22.2 hours per week. You will be based at HMP Swinfen Hall, working with Adults aged 18 and above. If you want to get to know us, and the role a little better, please call the Local Manager on (phone number removed).

In this role you will be required to:

Have a good understanding of the Microsoft package. It would be desirable if you were also proficient in Software and Web development.
Enable progression through accredited/ structured non-accredited programmes designed to meet the needs and interests of our learners.
Deliver innovative and exciting sessions in a challenging environment.
Work with learners to develop personalised learning plans, to equip them with the skills, knowledge and behaviours facilitating positive progress towards their longer term aspiration.
Look after the Virtual Campus supporting both staff and learners in its use. (Virtual Campus - secure web based learning platform that has been created specifically for a prison environment.) Training will be provided.
Help raise expectations and aspirations of our learners, to enthuse, motivate and create ownership of own learning.
Continually develop your practice and skills, to engage in new initiatives and, to share best practice with colleagues.
Utilise policies and procedures (both Novus and HMPPS) to support the wider prison resettlement and skills strategy.
Work collaboratively as part of a local specialist education team and, positively contribute as part of the wider prison team.
Hold a teaching qualification and be prepared to work toward an Assessors qualification if not already held.
Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You may have the skills, passion and attributes which make you the ideal candidate for this role, but you find it hard to evidence all criteria?
